When it comes up in th egame, saying change to disc X or w/e, there is a screen showing a character...Yuffie is her on the Da Chao (sp?) mountains, looking at the town...so the change disc screen showing Yuffie is my answer.

"Perch" calls to mind a bird of some sort, and Fort Condor is the only place being directly ravaged by war. The latter half of my reasoning is a little shaky, but you can visit Fort Condor just before you head for Costa del Sol, which would make your party "impending holiday makers", as Costa del Sol is the sort of place you'd go for a holiday.
