another stanza would be nice.
High over the earth,
The paradox sleeps,
North of rebirth,
And south of the deeps.
Bows to the marksman,
Though it masters the first.
Bequeaths the best,
In exchange for the worst.
When you find it again,
Need it you'll not,
After the ultimate price,
A negligible cost.
Great Gospel?
=====>Check out my sigs!<=====
is it safer sephi's limit break thing that destroys all the planets? (i forget the name)
High over the earth, --> flies through the universe first
The paradox sleeps, --> can happen multiple times
North of rebirth,
And south of the deeps.
Bows to the marksman, --> he rises into the air before using it
Though it masters the first. --> starts on the floor
Bequeaths the best,
In exchange for the worst. --> not sure, i think he takes a pumelling before he uses it maybe
When you find it again,
Need it you'll not,
After the ultimate price,
A negligible cost. --> not sure. maybe because if he uses it twice it's likely to be unnecessary as the first one will have nearly wiped u out (if u haven't levelled)
Why do you imprison your saviour?
has someone said Ultimate Weapon yet? the paradox would seem like Shadow Flare, since it's a flare (indicating light) of shadow (darkness). It 'sleeps' before you run into it, activating it. It rises from the earth (the northern crater) into the air before beginning to charge an attack. It takes a lot of damage before it uses Shadow Flare.
So my guess wil be Shadow Flare.
Nope. Here are some hints.
It's not any of the enemies encountered in the game, nor does it have anything to do with any of them.
The answer is something that fits all the lines of the riddle; every line has a specific relevance to the answer.
Phoenix Ash has the right idea with his reasoning of the first stanza.
The last stanza should perhaps be taken a bit more literally than the others.
So it has to do with a tall building? Fort Condor?High over the earth, (Tall Building)
The paradox sleeps, (This actually fits more than usual, as its one of the most paradoxical things in the game)
North of rebirth, (I think it is actually North of Mideel)
And south of the deeps. (Its also now South of the main oceans)
But this makes me think of North Corel, since you get the Ultima materia after you stop the train from wiping out the town. But it's all written in the paradox of what happens....so we're looking for a certain building and something within the building? Ultima materia anywhere close? Fort Condor and the huge materia? When you find it again,
Need it you'll not,
After the ultimate price,
A negligible cost.

A tall building, yes. Fort Condor, no.
And nothing to do with North Corel.
grrrrrrrr. ok, that was an obivious one though. So, more like junon, or the ancient forest?
scratch that, the Golden Saucer? It's pretty high....

The repetitive questions about what one of the lines refers to are what I try to avoid when running a riddle. I think it's rather contrary to the spirit of things. As I understand it, it's my prerogative not to answer. I'd prefer to only respond to guesses that take the whole riddle into account, because all the information is there, as needed, and it all fits together. The answer that takes every line into account will be the one with the best chance of being right. I will reiterate that this riddle does refer to something very specific. Not something as obscure as in the riddle that preceded it, but something specific nonetheless.
