Why do you imprison your saviour?
None right so far. Remember the importance of the second line.
No arms I provide, no rest - Helping hand as optional, he never sleeps in his covin
I'm an option in between - Optional Character
I will put you to a test - Ask a question
in favour of the green - Only to Barret 'if Barret is in your team, he'll ask a question to Barret'
But I'll help you too, don't fret! - Ally
A heaven's grant might be of use - He's a beast
Aggregate power you will get - Get his powers
You haven't got much to lose! - More character, nothing to loose
So come on, warrior, heed the call! - Cloud, come to Vincent
Though you by coming here - Your main reason wasn't Vincent but you did came here
before death's peace build thrice a wall - behind the wall, were Vincent Lies, in his coffin.
there is no need to fear. - He is dark, but friendly.
Sorry, All the lines fits in perfectly...
You just don't want to give it to me, so you try another answer just to give it to someone else.
And there's nothing metaphorical about any of my answers, beside the last line.
It's your puzzle.
Holy Materia then.

Don't be stubborn, Vincent or anything related to him is simply not the right answer.
The White Chocobo giving the Contain Materia.
The test in favour of the green could refer to handing over some Mimett Greens in order for a chance to pet him, and I just read "aggregate" being defined as, literally, "something composed of many elements". As I recall, the correct option, "Tickle behind his ears" is in the middle of the list, an option in between. (I could be totally wrong about that)
Is this "heaven's grant" a reference to the way Materia taps into the power of the Ancients?
If this is wrong, I have an idea for another possible answer, but since the rules say one answer per checkup, I gotta wait for you.

Wrong, but great reasoning. "Green" does not refer to the colour green in this case. "An option in between" talks about the physical world, although your interpretation was clever.
"Heaven's grant" has a very literal meaning, which has nothing to do with Materia or any divine form of heaven or metaphorical representations of it.
Does "Heaven's grant" mean grace? Not sure how to apply that, though.
No. Think like this: What would happen if heaven "granted" you something?
Well there goes my second possible answer: The Curse Ring. (Available, and only available in Mideel when you are not playing as Cloud, approximately half way through the game, and it increases every stat for a price... which is waived by casting Death Force, muahaha.)
Oh well, time to go think some more...
And I think Great Gospel: Just look at those puddles! One heck of a grant from the heavens, that!
Yeah, it's not the Curse Ring. It's also not Great Gospel, but you're starting to get near the actual meaning of "heaven's grant"![]()
wow this is so hard and complicated lol!!!

Beginner's Hall in Sector 7?
No arms I provide, no rest
I'm an option in between (It is located on the second floor between a weapon shop and a place to sleep)
I will put you to a test (I think they ask you questions)
in favour of the green (green can mean inexperienced - either the player or the NPCs)
But I'll help you too, don't fret!
A heaven's grant might be of use (I guess this is the Ether)
Aggregate power you will get (and this is All Materia)
You haven't got much to lose! (There is no cost to come here)
So come on, warrior, heed the call! (Its a room for trainee warriors)
Though you by coming here
before death's peace build thrice a wall (I guess this is related to the inability to come here after the plate crash, but the thrice bit I haven't worked out)
there is no need to fear (umm...)
I say what I think. If you disagree, then that is up to you.
Yeah, that riddle could be anything to thoses who has alot of experience in the game.
You'll need to be more precise because more than one option could be accepted here.
Don't say I'm stubborn, you are the one at fault here.
And you don't believe me about Barret, try him out yourself.
Hyperion in your analysis of the first stanza only "I will put you to a test - Ask a question" actually fits. Barret is not green, Vincent does provide arms, and being an optional character puts him nowhere between arms and rest.
In the second stanza you suggest that a heaven's grant is a beast? Vincent is anything but heavenly, unless you simply mean undead.
In the third stanza how does Vincent's situation relate to "thrice a wall"?
In short, let it go. I have no idea what the answer to this riddle is, but how about you have a go at Rantzien after you find out? Or better yet - don't.
I say what I think. If you disagree, then that is up to you.
