Bahamut Zero partially answers the same line as Bahamut.

Nope. The answer has a definate name. It's just not mentioned in the game.

Yes, dragons are what the answer was named for.

More clues maybe? I'm totally oblivious as to what it is, and it seems everyone else might also be.

    Not named yet famous
    Three orbs my namesake
    Say hello to my friends

I'm going to say Behemoth although the first line confuses me with this.

it depends on how you look at it. You say that the answer is named but not "mentioned" in game, which could reference to the fact it is not said in the dialogue itself. As Behemoth is an enemy which we encounter in disc 3 but is famous as it is widely used in a lot of the final fantasies.

3 Orbs my Namesake - The 3 orbs would reference to Bahamut, Neo Bahamut and Bahamut Zero. The Bahamut creature is a mythical creature "altered" from the original Behemoth creature. :

"In Jorge Luis Borges' Book of Imaginary Beings, Bahamut is a beast of Arabic mythology "altered and magnified"[1] from Behemoth"

Say hello to my friends. -

I'd say that "my friends" could either reference to the Bahamuts, or possibly the predecessors/successors/variations of Behemoth in future and past FF's. Such as - King Behemoth/Sr.Behemoth, Intangir, Catoplebas & Azul the Cerulean.

Still I get the last word.

I'm unsure of this one but it could be referenced to Behemoth being the main name / the connection between all these characters including Bahamut.

The only thing that really confuses me though is that the answer is named for dragons. Well Bahamut is named as the King of Dragons, but the name Bahamut was created from Behemoth which was actually a large and most powerful creature, but not actually detailing him as a dragon.

Sorry if I'm wrong, I just did a lil bit of research and found a connection between bahamut and behemoth so yeah :P I decided to answer.

It's not Behemoth, but researching mythology will help a lot with this one.

Not named yet famous - King Arthur (a famous MYTHICAL king of Britain).. We see him in the game but he is not named. Only the summon magic itself is named.

3 Orbs my namesake - Bahamut was known as the King of Dragons, so he himself is named a king, same as King Arthur.

Say hello to my friends - The Knights of the Round show all of the knights one by one as they slash the enemy.

Still I get the last say - King Arthur is the final knight that gives the finishing blow to the enemy with Excalibur in his hand.

So yeah, King Arthur is the answer, I think
    I'll figure it out later...
