The only dreams I usually remember are nightmares, ones where I am being chased by vampires and they seek my blood, to bit me, to make me like them. They always haunt me, shadowy creatures, yet I awaken before they fangs touch my neck...But I do not have them anymore, not that I know of. I think I know why I did, if so it explains why I don't anymore.

Incubus/Sucubus are creatures of the night often associated with represented sides of ourselves, most specifical repressed, are unexpressed desire, mostly sexual due to the nature of the incubi/sucubi.
That is in general, but often symbols can mean different things to different people...
according to Freud most things in dreams deal with repressed/supressed sexual desires. And since there are stories of Succubi/Incubi luring young men to there death with prmises of sex, they are most known as sex demons.

To Freud everything was about sex. Really the whole thing about penis envy...Right...He thought that sex was only vaginal-penal and any deviantion meant that the person was "polymorphosly perversed". So yeah, personally of what I have heard of Freud, I do not like.
But yes the sucubi/incubi are sex demons, thus the sexual connotation.
