Correct, but it's a specific type of healing item.

The number of souls is an allegorical reference.

*Google - search "Define: allegorical"* oh i get it now! so it means something other than it's literal translation. i'm stumped!

    REPOST:

Solutions to your problems --> the solution is a healing item, the problem is a status effect. i'm gonna say the item is a remedy as it cures many status effects (problemS)
Just consult your opponent --> bribe
The same amount as souls --> this is not to be taken literally
On the day of judgement --> Does this just refer to the end of a battle?

Why do you imprison your saviour?

BG, hope you read this. Just so you know, I revived the FF8 and FF9 riddle threads as well and it seems that my riddles might be a bit better than they usually are, so if you have the time come check out the threads. Also, I'm stumped on your riddle, as always. XD

The items in questions are remedies. So only the last two lines remain to be solved.

HintThere is mystical significance to the number.

Solutions to your problems - Remedy
Just consult your opponent - Bribe
The same amount as souls - The gil cost of the bribe is the same amount as the monster's HP
    On the day of judgement

I'm gonna guess Sandragora, because you bribe alot of remedies from it and it's HP might be the same amount as the gil it costs to get the remedies. And it causes status ailments with it's attack; which can be cured with the remedy.

The number does refer to the amount of Gil needed to Bribe, but it's neither Sandragora nor based on HP.

HintThe number is mentioned in the last chapter of a very famous book.

Is it a number in reference to the Bible? "The day of judgment" line sounds Biblical.

Not sure. I'm not really that religious.

I am going to guess, however, that it may be the Book of Revelation. Yet, I have no idea what the numerical reference could be.

The number of the beast or 666 is mentioned in Revelations and most likely a coded reference to Neron Caeser (Nero), who famously persecuted Christians at the time it was written. But there's another number I was looking for.

Isn't the last chapter of The Book of Revelation (chapter 22) the 21 amendments?
