is it the zu that tidus encounters by himself at first but then lulu and auron show up? maybe the small and weak line refers to when it stops flying and just stands on the ground.

Is it Yu Yevon/Sin??

Sin is an incredible monster but yu yevon is small. If not then is it one of the aeons yu yevon posesses? They can be strong but when you fight them they are weak...
