Perhaps, the only true purity
Is that in which used to obtain serenity
For sooth, it happens to be salinity
That forsakes all in this vicinity
Er, a random guess based on nothing but a hunch from the first line, Via Purifico?
This is a signature.
Salinity means saltiness. The ocean?
is it the temple in bevelle?
Perhaps, the only true purity
Is that in which used to obtain serenity --> the temple in bevelle betrays even yevons teaching by using machina. however the chamber of the fayth contains no machina.
For sooth, it happens to be salinity --> maybe the whole experience leaves people (especially wakka) bitter or 'salty' about the whole thing.
That forsakes all in this vicinity --> dunno![]()
Why do you imprison your saviour?
zanarkand, the ruined blitzball stadion (the dome)
in the dome the fallen monks drop alot of purifying salts... which kinda fits in the riddle...

maybe its the no encounters ability? purifying salts are needed to put it on a piece of equipment (salinity) and gives yu peace from feinds (serenity)
Why do you imprison your saviour?
Perhaps, the only true purity
Is that in which used to obtain serenity --> i'm gonna guess this is the "no encounters" ability
For sooth, it happens to be salinity --> purifying salt i'm guessing.
That forsakes all in this vicinity
unless it's the fallen monks in zanarkand, then maybe it's a particular piece of equipment with no encounters on it. sure wish i knew all the names :S
Why do you imprison your saviour?
although it does say "in this vicinity" which indicates that it's a place...
