Why would I use MS Excel either? or tables?

Browser are made for browsing. They aren't made for resizing images or editing html. If I wanted something devoted to writing code, I would use editpad plus.

But, generally I know what I need to have in a file, so notepad suits me.

Besides, it probably uses a lot less RAM than netscape.
