"Some guy who works at EB" is usually an ignoramus.
"Can sin be forgiven?"
I granite that its not true.
On a not entirely different topic, I hear that the games for ps3 will only work on one system. Meaning, that when you buy a game and put it into your ps3, it will only work on that system. There by making it so you cant rent games anymore.
Iduno, I don’t believe it. Wut are yours thoughts?
wat do u mean on one system?
u mean only on the ps3?
well duh
what do u mean u cant rent games anymore?
u mean psx and ps2 games cant be played on ps3
thats prolly not true
cas u could play psx on ps2
so most likely we lll be able to play psx and ps2 games ont he ps3
i just heard that ps3 games will only be able to play on one system. so you cant take your ps3 game over to a friends house and play on his/her ps3. If that does happen (probably wont) ps1 and ps2 games wont have the technology to be fixed to one system, so no worries there.
1) thatd suck
2) id take a sniper rifle and snipe all the Sony Staff
3) Id eat a nice bowl of chocolate
I wouldn't worrie about it.
The only way it could happen is if your ps3 was always online so it could upload the individual code of each game to a massive database that would always check everygame to c if the game is playing on its main system. But that would be stupid because then you could just not go online. But if it wouldn't let you play untill you registered your game, there going to lose alot of money.
Another way they could do it is to accualy burn some kindof data directly to the CD that tells other systems that this game has been fixed to a system. The only problem is that the games are not RW. But I'm not shure how things work with BR CDs.
I wouldnt get excited about it. Its just if you heard about it, dont go out and kill Sony.
hmm o_O
very well
*looks over at the Sony Staff tied up behind me*
You ve all been spared!
Youd better thank Dinnova!
or else something bad woulda happened
Well SE is making games for the 360. Who knows, maybe the VII remake will be multiplatform, therefore everybody wins.
I've only heard that SE was making FFXI for 360, i dont think it will go much further then that.
it's worth noting that what square are doing is brining out an old game that ran on a system that has half the power of the xbox. seems a little silly. would be like releasing ff9 for ps2.
Ya, i think thats wut there doing.Originally Posted by Cloud No.9
The dude probably got confused because Mystwalker or whatever its called that Sakaguchi created (the man that started Final Fantasy. Yeah, he "broke away from" Square-Enix and made his own company) is slightly Microsoft exclusive at the moment. I've only heard about them working on two games. And both are for the 360.
Microsoft bought some gaming companies over the years but Square isn't one of them.
