Why does everyone keep saying those things that Zell's eating at the end are hotdogs? I think they look too much like bread to mistake them for hotdogs. Could someone post a screenshot of him eating and the end? I've seen one up close and they don't look at all like dogs...

They are hot dogs. The whole entire game zell tries to get hotdogs, buut they are out. at the end he finally gets them and gorges himself in them.

In a sense, it is bread. In the Japanese version of FFVIII, the "hot dogs" were "bread;" this, then, is what would have been depicted. Presumably, the graphics weren't altered to reflect the localization.
Kind of makes me wonder why they would run out so quickly…

Usually, the bread that you get in cafeterias in Japan has some sort of filling.

I come from a non-Japanese country so therefore they are hotdogs to me. But either way they would be bread.....hotdogs are put into bread. *Drools* mmmmm hotdogs.....
Yes, I forget the name, but when Necronopticous and I were in Little Tokyo on Sunday we got one. It was one of the greatest things I ever tasted. I just remember it starts with an N and has meat and veggies and herbs and stuff in it and it's the most orgasmic taste I've had in years. It's also spoken of alot in Cardcaptor Sakura, and every now and then in Sailor Moon (though when subbed it's usually just translated as "meat bun" and dubbed called something stupid like a donut).
EDIT: I believe it's called "Nikuman".
