*Take a deep breath before speaking to the person - This calms you down a bit, and stops you from getting breathless and jumpy, which are sure signs that you're lying.
*Look the person in the eyes, but don't stare.
*Don't cross your arms or fiddle - These are some other sure-fire signs you're fibbing.
*Try and keep your lie as short as possible, so that there's less chance of you being detected.
*Put some truth into it - You'll find it easier to lie if you can relate it to the truth.
*Above all else, if you get caught out, 'fess up - If you start lying more, you'll just get tangled in them all and you'll get in trouble.
