He has 50,00HP but hes very easy...well he was for me anyways. The only time he really hurt was when he used his "Junk" attack and he only used that once.
I beat him with squall on level 14.

I think a fast way to kill tonberry is to use Demi on them because they have hellish amount of hp. So use Cerberus (Triple to everyone) and then have all 3 of your characters use triple demi. after a while, tonberry will have so little hp that you can just hit him dead.Originally Posted by Kamrusepas

Not everyone will have 22-25 Aura spells when they first give it a try.
i thought the number was random because i killed alot more than 20

The Tonberry count is random between 19 and 24.
Not only two days ago did i beat him, i think i killed about 22.

Well the amount of times i've played FF8 acquired, ive always had to beat 20 or more Tonberrys.
same, last time it was 22, but this time it was about 20
