Origin of smurf
I'll be brief here. How come people replace swear words with the word smurf? Not that I don't like it, in fact, I love it! But I'd like to know how it came about. I mean, why not replace with some other old school characters? Like, why not "fraggle". Any ideas?
Fraggle is lame and sounds old manish.
Smurf rocks and makes no sense therefore it pwns.

Smurf is what the swear word filters to because swearing is not permitted on this site. It's not like the people have a choice in the matter.

When will you people learn that the s in smurf when it is censored isn't capitalised? Sometimes I think I should start a smurf education campaign.
