I like the originals far better than the new ones. There are things that I like about the new ones, especially in regards to combat. But the originals are just more fun and satisfying to watch.
And Han Solo is the greatest movie character of all time. It's just too sad that his character died with the rolling of the end credits for RotJ.![]()

the best Star Wars was the Holiday Special
there was a picture here
[q]he died?[/q]
Not literally. :rolleyes2 His character disappeared from the big screen forever after RotJ ended. The new ones just aren't the same without a character of that calibur.

Originals are the best because of the hilarious space fight at the end of A New Hope. The guys X-Wing get shot and he's like 'I'M HIT' then flies straight on into the Death Star yelling YEEEAAAHHHHH!!!!!! Goes out with a bang.
Episode II is potentially one of the worst movies ever created.
Episode V is the only movie that is consistently good, ranging from the Battle of Hoth to the lightsaber showdown on Cloud City.
I like 1~3 the best. To be honest, that's probably just because the graphics were very good. The third movie was my favorite.
I think the Prequels could have been better if somebody would have just popped George's ego and had someone else direct. The man is horrible. He had a bunch of amazing actors and had no idea what to do with them. The only person we got a decent performance out of was Ewan, who's had enough experience to stand out on his own.
I dunno. The whole thing irritated me. The new ones took themselves way too seriously. Nobody had any personality at all. Nobody had any sass, like Leia. Nobody was sarcastic. They even managed to make Yoda boring. Everything was, "I'm rather flustered with the Council, Master. They refuse to recognize my full potential. I am a large boy now, why cannot they see this?" "Oh, you have much to learn, My Young Padawan Apprentice Learner etc..."
I just think they blew it with the prequel idea. Charactor's motive consisted of, "Okay, this scene happened in the last movie, so I guess I have to react with ANGER!" Everyone was just being helplessly tossed around by fate. Just because we already know what happens doesn't mean it has to play out like a history book. I felt like I was watching an outline that hadn't been fleshed out yet. It was very... amatuer.
I guess what it boils down to is Plot vs. Charactor. The Prequels really did have a decent story going on underneath the stiff dialogue and plethora of battle sequences, but the originals were completely charactor based stories. That's what always wins my vote. I don't care about the big battles and the apocalyptic events if I don't care about the people it's effecting.
The originals hands down. Stories better, dialogues better, actual comic relief(no Jar Jar . Seriously George, he's not funny), and just plain Darth Vader.
Also, I did clap when Yoda came in Episode II. That movie had to pick up somewhere.
To end my opinion, did someone actually say, " The famous line: 'Luke, I am your father'". That's not the correct line; go watch Empire and you'll here that he never actually says Luke. He says, "No, I am your father." God, I love Star Wars.
