Okay, got one way, but it takes a lot of patience ^^'
I managed to merge these to pictures together using first the gradiant tool (at the left side, as you probably can see ^^'), and then the magical eraser in the middle.
You can adjust the opacity for the magical erasor at the top of the window. Only, remember to mark the area you wish to erase.
As I said it will take some time (and my pic was just a test, so I didn't put any energy in that one ^^), but you should be able to merge the pictures smoothly ^^
I'll be posting again if I find an easier way...
Okay! Found another way! ^_^
Use the magic erasor tool, then switch to the ordinary erasor tool and adjust the opacity settings for that one ^_^ It will automatically erase to transparant.
I'll try next time I'm at college.
