Ugh. My Chemical Romance isn't emo in the slightest. Emo doesn't mean "any band that whines," it's an actual genre that was popularized in the early-mid 90s by bands like Sunny Day Real Estate, who are real emo, and awesome.
My Chemical Romance is pop. And they are awful. I wish this thread was true, but alas, I really doubt it.
