Aeries wasn't week at all - Infact I NEVER lost a single fight when she was in my team.

Aeris was a great character. Fury Brand, very useful when leveling up limit breaks. I even had to go back from level 4 to level 2 so I could level up cid after rocket town (and after just getting Great Gospel!). Great technique, the back row/cover one. always thought of doing it but my characters just didn't need it. (I spend too much time leveling up so much that before temple of ancients I had all the materias I had up until that part Mastered except for Kjata)

I always thought she was indeed a great fighter, but I don't agree with her just being called a meat shield, because she does a lot more than just 'shield' the other characters. She may be of the most powerful characters in the game until. You know...

I always thought that all characters did not have much difference. I always had Cloud, Tifa, and Aeris in Disc 1

Hmm... i suddenly have this urge to try using Aeris in the Battle Arena... Great Gospel should be worth a few battles to see there at least.. this plan seems to work well in my mind..

In Disc 1, spells like Trine and Beta would be doing tonnes of dmg to a chunk of enemies.. but usually my characters wouldn't be able to spare the Mp to keep spamming them continuously, while keeping defensive magics up...

however... Aeris seems to have the perfect cure for that.. if she takes too much damage, a Great Gospel not only buys time to recast protective magics.. It restores Hp and Mp of Aeris back to full..

This would certainly be an advantage over my Cloud, who seems to have troubles juggling dishing out damage, and keeping alive..

of course this is only in theory, and i have yet to test it out first-hand.. But i foresee the only potential problems would be the typical Petrify/stop problems (Which can be countered with a Jem ring) or All-Materia Break (which would really depend on what we're facing.. although the lost of the Hp-plus materias on her could be quite devastating)

    Aeris is my magic bitch!

Edit: Whatever you do YOU MUST STEAL her a Striking Staff from the Eligor monster in the last area of the train graveyard. These are the kind of big half horse/half motorcar creatures that use Silence and Laser eye.

She easily becomes one of the most powerful fighters with this weapon equipped, all the way up to Junon...
My Cure spell brings all the boys to the yard,
And they're like: "It's better than yours."
Damn right, it's better than yours!
I could Heal you, but I have to charge.

I just want to say, she isn't that bad.

    Can sins ever be forgiven?
