    Default ff9 star wars connections

did anyone else get this. if you read the one part in ff9 its says

    fear leads to anger
    anger leads to hate
    hate leads to suffering

and in star wars episode 1

    yoda says to whoever

    fear leads to anger
    anger leads to hate
    hate leads to suffering

thats a little too close to be a coincedence dont you think?

also darth mal? was it? had the double sided light saber

zidane had the doube sided sword, polearm i belive its called.

now the question is which came first cause i cant remeber ff9 or star wars episode 1? i think ff9 but not sure.

Episode 1 came out first, and it's fairly well known that the game is filled with quite a few Star Wars, Star Trek, and other references. In fact there's a faq on the references on gamefaqs.

I don't know of many Star Trek referances, but there are many, MANY Star Wars referances. The double sided sword isn't one of them, though. Its just a coincidence.

I think there's just the one with the guy saying "dammit Jim I'm a doctor not a miracle worker." I didn't mean there were tons of Star Trek references, I meant there were tons of references of various other media in general.

if you go on FFcompendium it tells you a whole list of them. FF9 has the most references in any FF game but theres also a star wars episode 4 spoof in FF6

Well, FFIX was intended to be a tribute to the entire series, so there something from every game in it. I suppose I never spotted many Star Wars referances in FFIX. I was suprised it didn't even have a Biggs and Wedge, considering it was a tribute to the past games.

He meant Ramuh, but that wasn't exactly what he was refering to. In order to get Ramuh, you have to collect pieces of a story. Its the story of Josef, and how he died helping you.
