Default ZSNES Help

This is some major bull. I renamed my folder holding my emus and ROMs and aranged everything. I go to play my ZSNES and find all of my games started to the beginning. I never once remembered ZSNES having a folder for saved files and yet if so, it would be "in" the ZSNES folder. Not only this but when I first opened my ZSNES Emu I see all of this window crap so I had to dig in until I found my Emu and ROM folder, which didn't take quite long. What's up!?

There should be a ZSNES .cfg file that contains the path to your save files. You can edit it in notepad and put the correct path in, or you can browse for your save files and ZSNES will save the new path.

For games that have a save feature, ZSNES creates a secondary file for the save in the folder the rom is in. If that is still there, you just have to edit the .cfg file to look iin that folder. If it isn't, then you will have to start over.

The save file will have the exact same file name as the rom, only with a .srm extention.

Maybe the Emu ate all your save files?

Oh crash. No ammount of sitcoms can compare to your hilarity.

You open the cfg with notepad
And change the parameters around the save/game directory to the renamed folder.

Then you change the parameters around the save/game directory to the renamed folder
i.e. Read the file and look for something that says "Save directory" and "Game directory" and do what they very nicely written file tells you to.

Notepad's being more of an ass than me and isn't letting me open a .cfg extension. Do I change it to a .txt file??

Double click on the cfg file and select notepad from the list of programs it gives you to open it.

I tried what you said. Didn't see anything about the games I had. Like Autumn Rain said, "If it isn't, then you will have to start over."...

I rest my case

No goddamnit, it is that. You changed the folder name so it doesn't know where to look, that's the only thing it possibly could be. But in the cfg file it will says "games directory" and you change what it says there to the renamed directory you have your games in and stop being so helpless.
