I think if there is ever an end to the Final Fantasy series they should do an all-star type game with 5 Final Fantasy guys and 5 Final Fantasy girls. I wonder who people would want in it. No FFXII, dead or non-playable characters. My choices would be...

Yeah but you cant really make a party with FF people in Knigdom Hearts, you have Goofy and Donald. Also a FF all-star game should have a classic FF villan, not disney meanies... lol ursela is the only exception, I love that big b****...

And KH doesn't use them as the characters they are- on the other hand neither would this, because it makes no sense to bring them all into one world like this. Also the storyline wouldn't make sense...
But going along for a second:
I try not to use too many similiar characters, even though people have very different backstories and are different a game with Cloud and Squall would not work.

Laguna (Nice, fun, leader when Squall isn't- I'm counting him as 20 or so because this idea probably already throws away all previous story so now he doesn't have to be Squall's father)

Cid (FFVII, just looking for a character I like that's battle style and character have not yet been taken)

I still woudn't enjoy a game like this because to make it they'd have to destoy the prvious storylines and the characters wouldn't be the same.

Yeah if square did anything with all FF characters if would probably be something like Final Ehrgeiz which actually would be tight. I just want to see what kind of FF characters people would want to put together. So keep posting. Who you would want in your version?

I think it would be pretty kewl to get all the charaters together. They'd have to get some pretty sick ass villian though. I think it would probably have to be on a different planet were they all from, theyd have to use the way that the charaters from FFIX traveled to Terra. I think yea maybe it would be a lil far fetched, but its FF who really cares you knows you'd all play it!

i've always dreamt of a Final
Fantasy All-Stars. it would have an arcade mode (like Ehrgeiz) and a story mode ( all the main heroes of ff6/7 - X - Cloud, Squall, Zidane, Tidus) would be part of this one party in a mini-rpg, or even a Quest Mode ( like reenacting famous FF scenes with your choice of crossover characters...have Squall and Irvine blow up a Mako reactor, have Cloud, Cid and Vincent kidnap Garnet, have Zidane play blitzball, etc). however this is the bastion of ultimate fandom land and therefore really only for fans who just can't get enough.
