Well I myself adore final fantasy IX, and it's my favourite game. But I do understand why some people dont like it. With VII and VIII they went further away from fantasy and more towards reality and then bought IX, complete fantasy, really. This was also just before the ps2 came out, so people may have been expecting something far more spectacular. Or some people took a look at the deformed characters and simply decided it was bad without playing. So though i dont agree with the final fantasy IX haters, I understand where they're coming from
i can hate things about a Final Fantasy game...but i never hated a Final Fantasy game. rather, i cast them out of sight...however, i still like this one...

It was so obvious they'd tried to make the chracters like your typical american movie characters. At least X-2 haters give good reason to hate it, Unlike FF IX haters.
FFX-2 would have been so much better as a film...

Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

In the FMV Yuna did have a kind of... shallow profile, kinda like she'd run into a glass door she didn't notice.
