III has never been ported and was never on Playstation, but will be on DS soon. I, II, IV, V, and VI were on Playstation, as you've said yourself.

It originally came out for the Famicom (NES), but it was never released outside of Japan. You can find a fan translated rom somewhere I'm sure.

I was devastated when I saw Origins...original games RAPED by the PSX to make an extra buck in Square's already bulging pockets....okay it was cool but still I'm old skool.

But it also was an attempt to bring the Final Fantasy's on Nintendo Systems to Sony's.
