VI's graphics are some of the best you can find for a SNES game, including character graphics. The only better SNES graphics I saw are from Bahamut Lagoon, and that game came out when Playstation was already there.
Personally, I think Chrono Trigger and Star Ocean beat anything, in terms of graphics.
