Cloud: Okay boys, we got the Black Materia, but we lost that friend or spy in the process. Oh noes!
Cait Sith: I'm alive!
Cloud: Oh yay, now I won't be seeing you until you help Barret escape from prison because you suck! *shakes* Oh NOES, Sephir0th! FUshufuhsufhuhsufh *gives black materia*
Tifa: OMGZ, Cloud, r u ok?
Cloud: Damn, I did it again. Now time to waste another 3 hours of the gamer's life on a useless quest.
Also, FFVIII has quite possibly the GREATEST amount of useless scenes.
