It is implied that, by some means, Teta was the reason that Delita is alive.
Ramza was never able to get clarification for that comment, and it was never really elaborated upon. Whether she physically protected him from the blast with her body or the thought of her gave him the will to live, we can't tell.

I think he meant it figuratively and literally. Not only did he use the body to protect him from the explosion, her death also gave him a reason to go on.

I think he meant spiritually. I mean, Teta was down for the count when she got popped by Algus. If memory serves, Delita didn't even try to avoid the explosives.
