Check it again or check the other marsh's. You might be in the wrong one.
I've heard of this before but never had it happen to me. The Gold one cannibalized the others I guess :/

do you mean there were no new frogs? cause you have to wait a bit for them to breed.
You have to wait quite a while for the frogs to breed.... to maximise the 'respawn rate' of the frogs, you shoul try to avoid eating any baby frogs. It helps to leave at least one female and one male adult, too. The presence of a gold frog should make the population re-grow slightly faster... but it still takes time.
