A film will never happen. The game never had the same appeal as VII, and the basis for more plot devolpment for what happened afterwards. Jus' my 2 cents.

My thoughts exactly! And if they are going to make a movie of FF 8, at least put the chocobos, because the Advent Children doesn't have any...

Yeah, it would be awesome if they made a movie outa FF8. And yes chocobo's should have a role in the movie..haven't been in the last two...

Why do you guys seem to hinge on the fact that a movie would have to be an actual sequel?

Just because AC was a sequel doesn't mean that other SE movies would have to, or even are sequels. Last Order wasn't (it also wasnt' very long xD)

instead of doing a movie after FF8 (FF8-2) instead they should make the film of FF8 as going through FF8
like starting as a seed in the garden, then going to timber, meet rinoa, all the way to the true Ultimaciea.

yeah they would have to cut a hell of a load off. or do it 2 discs and both doubvle layer like lord of the rings

Well Last Order, we already now everything it tells us from the game so there wasnt any surprise. It would be better if there is a new story in it. Like maybe they'll finally reveal that rinoa is ultimecia.

Yeah, and maybe they could extend a little bit more of the game story line. Like the relationship between Squall and Laguna, the restore of Trabia Garden, or what's made of Norg... it would be nice, but I don't have any solid ideas on what they should do.

There aren't any new surprises in the Lord of the Rings or the Harry Potter movies, and yet people still go to watch them.
