How has the internet affected your family/friends?

The other day I was going to use the computer, and my little brother of 13 passed by and said all excitedly while laughing: "Jess! I was muted on Runescape! I was SPAMMING! On Runescape! Hahahaha!" I didn't know whether to laugh, cry, or yell "Run! Escape!"

Other than that, my parents have become avid internet shoppers, especially around the holidays, since they'd rather just shop on Amazon.com for our relatives than go to the store. xD
