Choco Gratin/Free Muscadet!
I have 2 questions. I think I dropped my only Choco Gratin, and I need it to complete mission "Food for Truth". Will I ever get another chance to get it, or should I make a new game? Also, I need to finish the mission "Free Muscadet!", and in my strategy guide, it says I need to read the "Weird Minstrel" rumor in Muscadet pub. I did that, and no luck. Any other requirements for this mission to be available?

Yes, it is possible to get it back. All mission items which are needed to complete other missions can be obtained again if you lose them before you use them. If they are not needed for another mission, you won't get them back though, so think carefully before you discard mission items.
Still, there is really no need to discard any mission items until very late in the game. Unless you pick up a ton of Materites/Adamantites/Silvrils/etcetera you won't fill up your mission item storage. And if you do, it is usually best to get rid of the duplicates.
