We all know about Wikipedia, Caspian. What is this thread about and what is its purpose?

Wikipedia is probably my favorite place on the Internet. When I'm bored at work I read random articles. I say we do away with schools and have kids read Wikipedia six hours a day.

EDIT: It's about how great Wikipedia is!

The lone protester is brave. If I was in operation of the lead tank I'd run over him. ):

I spent 2 hours last night reading about Ancient Romans on Wikipedia. Mind you, I only did this because I wanted to see how accurately the TV show Rome portrayed its characters and the events, but it was fascinating.

Also, the fact that Wiki has a page on Sporks makes it the greatest thing ever.

Yes, many of us are aware of its existance, but not a lot of people fully appreciate its power.

I'm going to dig up some interesting things on my own time to educate and inform the people.

I do much the same (though not at work). I love just reading random articles and clicking around on links in each one to learn more. It's fun.

This place has a rather... unappealing name but several unusually shocking articles I enjoy reading.

I love the sole protester section in Jon Stewart's America: the Book.

Wikipedia is great for music. I honestly had no idea how wrong I was about Crustcore.

The fact that any twat with a hidden agenda or idiot with a modem can write for it should tell you not to solely rely on it for information. I never use it & never will.
