Sorry, but to me, there's not a whole lot of difference in the greatness of classic literary works (such as War and Peace, Lord of the Rings, Romeo and Juliet) and the development of such ideas on different mediums. These different mediums, of course, being the console (or "video," if you must) game.

If Final Fantasy VII or VIII were to be novelized properly, they would surpass anything Tolkien created IMO.
