I spend about 7 hours/day playing. I go to college. I don't work. My boyfriend broke up with me because he said I am addicted. My family thinks I have a problem and want to get me help.
Can any of you relate and have suggestions?

Oh, one more thing. I got pretty good at playing and was paid to help people advance, but nobody cares about that and thinks I still have a problem.

Simply limit yourself. Give yourself a time limit and don't exceed it.

I think your addiction to Caps Lock is more devastating.
Yes, you have a problem. Have more sex with your boyfriend. It's better. Trust me.

Video games are like marijuana: They aren't addictive.

I've never had time to play it that long...once when i was ridden with flu i guess. But eh...You go girl.
You just need to actively make your life more interesting than a fantasy one. The ratio should equal out.
PS: I wanna know what Manus said before the snip

Im a college student too and had a similar problem, last semester, of balancing social stuff, classes, school, and game addiction (it is an addiction despite what other people may say). My advice is first try to limit yourself in game play, try to only play it on the weekends or when you have no major projects or exams coming up. If this doesnt work (it didnt really work for me) just box up all your gaming things until you finish the semester, this is what im doing but i went a step further my gaming stuff isnt in my dorm room its 400 km away at my parent's house. Its the only way i found i could stop and somewhat focus on school work along with other things.
Now for some words of wisdom:
Always remember that you are absolutely unique. Just like everyone else.....hmmm wait just a minute.
Everyone makes mistakes. The trick is to make mistakes when nobody is looking

I used to be like that, about 3 years ago, I never ate and did ANYTHING, I just used to play from when I got up until I slept, but I was sometimes forced to go downstairs and eat.
Nowdays I don't have time for videogames, because going out with friends and being active is just much more EXCITING, so I put that first. I suggest go out a lot
