that gaming does seem like a problem, but I'm in the same boat too, kinda...
I have to play games after i get home from school for atleast an hour or 2, coming into year 11 I have to break that trend.
On the school holidays I really can't find anything to do and find myself hooked on games as well
The best thing to do would be to find other things to occupy yourself with. I work every few days, and although I hate it, It's better than sitting in front of a screen for hours. get a job, go out with friends, study (well that sounds like a barrel-full of fun, but it is time consuming) read, draw, go on this forum, cook, anything. It may be really hard at first to walk away from the console, and when your doing it you know you'd much rather be playing the games, but you wont be, and in time you'll probably build a life around them.

Go out, make new friends, get a job, anything.
Ask yourself if gaming is really taking you anywhere.
Force yourself to get something to do OUTSIDE your house that keeps you very busy.
If all of this doesn't work, sell your games and consoles and/or seek for the help of a specialist.

That is a problem...

Maybe you should try watching TV instead...

Better yet try setting a schedule or something... That would help...

You have to realize that playing games can be stressfull, you can get a headache or something...

You play 7 hours a day? I played for 3 straight days without rest my eyeballs popped out and rolled over the carpet (just joking, I although my head started to pulsate for a while) :sweatdrop:

eh, my grades have been on a road of struggle and i think i'll become twice as stupid playing video-games than being a 24-7 couch potato. but i like what i do - i still hold my valued position in the house: "most knowledgeable member", xD.

i don't think you're crazy however. keep up the grades and don't give up what you love. balance will put things back in harmony...
