Default Most Powerful Movie Scenes (SPOILERS)

2001: Beyond the Infinite and Opening Space Shot

A.I.: The frozen NY scene and the Alien encounter

    Big Lebowski: Lebowski's dream scene

    Clockwork Orange: Ultra-violence and rape

Donnie Darko: Whole movie, but most specifically theatre scene, ending, and when he promises Cherita "One day, everything is going to be better for you". What a great film.

Eternal Sunshine: Wow. Pretty much most of the memory scenes.

Fight Club: The Ending sequence, when Bob is shot

Life Aqautic: Ned's death and the wonderful Jaguar Shark encounter scene. Perfect mood and music.

    LOTR: Too many to count

Lost In Translation: The final goodbye

Man on the Moon: When Andy visits the supposed healer and realizes it's all a hoax and he cracks up laughing, which then leads to the heart-breaking funeral sequence.

Requiem For A Dream: the powerful ending sequence and Sarah's speech about getting old to Harry

Royal Tenenbaums: Richie's suicide and Royal's funeral

Truman Show: Sequence with the lady who tells Truman it's all fake, and the end on the Santa Maria

    Full Metal Jacket: Pile's suicide

    Fargo: Woodchipper scene

O Brother Where Art Thou?: 3 ladies by the water

What's Eating Gilbert Grape: Momma's Death

Shawshank Redemption: Andy's freedom, final scene at the beach, "Some birds aren't meant to be caged"

    Braveheart: "FREEEEEEEEEEEEEEDOM!"

The Pianist: When he plays the piano for the Nazi soldier

Planes, Trains, and Automobiles: When you find out Del has no home, and when he comes with Neel to his house

    Titantic: The obvious

    Crash: Ending sequence

Collateral: "Do you think they'd notice?"

Forrest Gump: Lieutenant Dan jumping off the boat, Jenny's death

Green Mile: At end when Tom Hanks is 100 + years old

    American History X: Rape Scene

Edward Scissorhands: Ice sculpture scene and ending

American Beauty: Suicide at the end

I'll probably have a lot more soon. Still so many movies I need to see (in fact I made a whole list of them )
