Is it just me or was Vincent's love always one-sided? I mean he loved her and I thought Hojo kept them apart but now that I played it again, it seems that she never once cared for him. What do you guys think?

Yeah, it was one sided. That's what makes it so tragic, he falls in love with a woman who falls for Hojo (definitely not in the looks department, thats for sure). But being the selfless thing that he is, he is just happy that they are happy.

But there are the rumours that (SPOILER)Vincent could be Sephiroth's father, and not Hojo's. The boy had to get his looks from somewhere.

No, there's no official confirmation for that. Instead, there is official confirmation (from the Omega guide, I believe) that Vincent's love was one-sided. Look at the attached chart.

Vincent cannot be Sephiroth's father, for the simple fact that Lucrecia wasn't in love with him at all at any piont in the storyline. She loved Hojo and him alone, and that's all.

I think Lucrecia loved Vincent but was pressured by Hojo so much that she eventually gave in to what he wanted instead of what she needed (which was the one that loved her, Vincent). In the end, Hojo succeeded in using her for his real love, science.

What I find odd about that chart is that Tifa and Cloud are friends, Cloud sees Aerith as a friend, but Aerith dosen't see CLOUD as a friend.
