This award first appeared in June of 2002, during the second biannual Ciddies (also the second EoFF awards competition hosted by the now infamous (because of his reputation regarding your sisters) Award Guy). Back then, the award went by the name "Best Recognized Member" as there was no Former Staff group yet. Past winners of the award are, in order (asterisk denotes a winner before the Former Staff group was added):

Del Murder (December 2003)
Agent Proto (June 2004, then a repeat win in December 2004)
Monkey (better known as Jojo) (June 2005)

Now what are we actually doing with this award? We're providing more recognition to someone who has already received recognition, aren't we? Obviously Recognized Members have some recognition (who the hell is Neel With A Hat?), and Former Staff were hand-chosen by the staff to be CK's (usually, sometimes admins also), so they obviously did SOMETHING right (or someone. that's right, I'm talking about YOU.)

Now, who is nominated for this thingy? Ten completely undeserving nominees, obviously. But that's alright, I still love you all (except Monkey). And most noticeably (and deservingly) missing is Award Guy, who recently(?) became a Recognized Member. AND NOW, WITHOUT FURTHER STALLING FOR TIME (Ha! ~AG):
