If you're going to get a nano, I say get the black one.

Or you could hold off on the purchase, and look around for a (possible) better deal, brand, whatever. No harm in checking out the competition.

I don't like the nano. I wish they would have continued the IPOD Mini and dropped it to 150. Then I would have picked it up. As it stands now the Nano sucks and is a worse deal. 2 less gigs of space and less colors. So sad.

I prefer the originals. Sure, they're an ugly lump of plastic, but the newer ones are just too tiny, and break too easily. It always happens like that- it's the same with cellphones. People are vaugley aware that samll technology is better, and somehow decide that a small object must be better (regardless of the fact that a larger object of the same technological level is proportianlly better).
But, iPods are evil. Mine is screwed up and I'm trying to get it fixed.
Like all technology: good when they work, crap when they (all too frequently) don't.

I'd say get the black, but i'd much rather go with a 60gig normal ipod myself. The nano might look a bit cooler, but for me the more music I can squeeze into that thing the better. I'm actually trying to get a free 60gig ipod through one of those online offers. I've heard from multiple reliable sources that they actually work, hopefully in a few months time i'll be cramming that thing full of tunes.

Also, am I the only one that thinks the video ipod is about the most pointless thing ever? The screen is what, two inches big?

I'd go for a White Nano over a Black, as if you want matching headfones you have to buy them sepearetly with the Black, also the Black iPods show scratches more on the click wheel etc.

i dont like ipods! i prefer the normal usb mp3 players! sure the ipod has more space but what if the headphones break? you cant use normal ones you have to buy "ipod" ones which cos something like 3 quid a pop!
