I actually like using Cait Sith. Him, Yuffie, and Cloud is pretty unstoppable.
I used cloud tifa and flipping between cid and yuffie.
I like using Vincent,Cloud,Barret or Cloud,Barret,RedXIII.

Cloud Barret Cid xplanation:
Cloud: I set my Cloud as all-time attacker. I equip ragnarok, mystile, tetra-elemental for good defense and attack. I also equip KotR, hades, typoon, 2 master HP plus with master magic/master summon. Plus, Cloud Omnislash could be single very important skill (I use to win against Proud Clod at special battle). Having cloud with Long Range materia is good too.
Barret: Barret is my full-time needed healer, when it comes to critical attack, white wind or restore materia must be cast even if Limit gauge is fill. I usually equip master magic plus all/mega all materia for easy attack and heal. Barret catastrophe proves worthy with destructive forces even with 10 hits. I equip Max ray, Escort guard/Ziedrich, Cat's Bell (Barret is the weakest in my team)
Cid: Cid is my alternative character, he can heal and attack. He usually use life and esuna on someone. I equip Restore materia, revive, heal, ultima, master command, master summon. this should give him the right to heal or attack. I equip Spirit Lance, Mystile, Ribbon.
Second team explanation:
Cloud: same as above
Red xiii: Red is my full-time healer but I don't usually ask him to heal. I just asking him for super d.blow (it always work). Moreover he's my favourite character. I can't just tell more but i equip Spring Gun Clip, Mystile, Ribbon on him. His limit breaks suck but Stardust Ray's good.
Cait sith: I just like his slots. I always get the mog dance/Toy box. Overall, Cait sith isn't very good character probably the weakest. He is the worst morpher (he heal the enemy), worst stealer, worst senser, Worst D.blower, BUT a good manipulator, his magic aren't very strong but his Cure magic perfect for the party. I equip Starlight Phone, Ziedrich, Curse ring/Tetra Elemental
I use Tifa and switch between Barret and Vincent but, I use Yuffie and Red XIII sometimes too. And Cloud too, since you don't have much of a choice through most of the game. Not that he isn't a kick a** character.
i just stayed with the classic AVALANCHE team for the whole game: cloud, barret and tifa

They're my favourite characters, but having some of the coolest limits in the game doesn't hurt either
Sephiroth and Cloud.
Cloud - Mainly because he is probably thee hardest character, has the best weapons, and you HAVE to play with him anyway.
Vincent - Because he is overall a very strong character to have, his limits are really good aswell.
Cid - Basically because he is my strongest character(lvl 96) and I really like him anyway.
At first I used Tifa A LOT but then I simply forgot about her when I fought with Vincent and Cid
Well I had multiple teams ....the last time I cleared it my team was Cloud,Barret,Vincent
Quick Question...Is Yuffie any good in terms of limit breaks?..I'm thinking of using her the next time I start playing it........:mog:
