Mysidia was only included in FFII and FFIV, and those games share no other remarkable similarities. There are no Crystals (Elemental or otherwise) in FFII, moreover, and there are a vast number of inconsistencies, contradictions, and impossibilities that arise from attempting to connect the games.

I further assure you that no Final Fantasy (except for The Spirits Within) explicitly takes place on our Earth. In fact, the world of FFVII is called Gaia, and (if we can trust LotC) the world of FFV is called Planet R.
I always kept thinking that FFIV and FFIX had similarities up the wazoo, but I once wrote a fanfic crossover FFVII and IX, where they were on the same world, just different times, and I didn't even know that VII's world was called Gaia. Though I do believe they aren't on that world. Sad, but true.

Simularities in all games include a magical girl heroine and a badass guy, plus a hero with some mental problems, a few none human characters -or at least someone not of the same main race on that planet, lots of battles, magic, summons, and... of course, the rabid fans.

I know that. I only said 1-6 so I can prove a point. I should've been more specific.

FF VI don't have them either

I don't remember either game mentioning this. Proof please

Vaan - "Hey, you!"
Penelo - "Yeah, you! The one reading this sig at this very moment!"
Vaan - "Interested in playing FFXII International Zodiac Job system?"
Ashe - "But you have no knowledge of the Japanese language?"
Fran - "....We could help...."
Balthier - "That's right, Fran! Just click on Crossblades' thread on the very bottom of this signature and it will show you all license grid translations, magicks and tecks locations, and other changes that were made!"
Basch - "Don't forget though. Swap Magic is needed to play this game if you don't own a japanese PS2."
Vaan - "Also remember that if you played the original, you'll have an easier time playing the international version. We hope you enjoy the International Zodiac Job System experience. See ya then!"

There are numerous similarities to FFIV in FFIX, and even more and deeper connections to FFV. Beyond the more involved references in the links, there are scattered references to every FF title released before IX. That having been said, the references in FFIX are merely easter eggs, fun bits for fans of the series to pick up on.

Actually, there hasn't always been a "magical girl heroine'--in fact, there hasn't always been a female party member at all. Even if one ignores the question of the gender of the FFI White Mage, it remains that the Onion Kids of FFIII are male. I also doubt that (to say nothing of other titles) the Light Warriors of FFI had any "mental problems" seeing as they didn't have personalities or decisions or dialogue. There were no unusual race/non-human playable characters in FFI, II, or III, and Summoning was not instituted until FFIII.

Yes, but the FF titles are only connected in the sense that certain concepts (airships and so forth) appear throughout the series. There is no direct literal connection--every FF is completely independent of the others.

I was still referring to just FFII and FFIV at that point, but, yes, this is true. I don't see that it helps the connectivity argument, though.

Neither game does. However, at the 2004 E3, SE gave away promotional pamphlets for Advent Children which refer to the planet as Gaia. The Advent Children Plot Analysis on GameFAQs includes a link to a scan of this pamphlet. Regarding FFV, while the planet goes unnamed in game, the OAV sequel "Legend of the Crystals" (the "LotC" I made note of in the first post) refers to the world of FFV as Planet R. As LotC was not made explicitly by Square (it was allowed and Sakaguchi and Uematsu had veto power, though), this designation can be debated. It was, understandably, worth noting.

The only one I remembered that is FF X-2 and FF VII which is pretty obvious.

It is mentioned that Shinra try to research on life energies in the farplane but couldn't finishes it in his time so future generations took over it in another planet.

I hate when people say 1-5 are all medieval...

The English Translation of FF1 tried to make it seem ancient to appeal to the US Market by changing it to seem more like Dungeons and Dragons... (What nerd crap..)

FF3 seems to be pretty modern, despite all the cooking in fires and ...

FF4... pretty modern also...

FF5... eh...

The FFs are in order except for X and X2. Square have said this I'll prove it in a later post.

Dear MJN SEIFER,

It's our policy to close threads when people go around spreading falsehoods such as that. So, you know, kindly cut it out such as to not ruin things for everyone else.

Don't shoot the messanger Kishi. I'm just saying what I've heard. But if you like I'll stop until I can deliver more solid proof. that's fair right?

EDIT: Don't close the thread. This is the last time (Here) that's I'll do this.

Yeah, it's fine if you can provide proof. Until then, though, it's bad stuff.
