    Not really.

Agni and Rudra, while seeming quick, have too much downtime post-combos leaving you far too open for attack against quick enemies.

Cerberus is nice, but the lack of Air Hike makes it less useful for me, though it is a must for Beowulf, Ice Age blocks his feather attack.

But you're against Nevan? Purely because you can't use it properly, surely. Spamming away with bats is horribly ineffective, you need to practice and get yourself in the perfect position to juggle and stun a target.

And try taking on Enigma on Hard and above without Reverb Shock to deflect the arrows.

Nevan is a ranged weapon, you must be trying to use it up close and personal.

"Yes, death is strong, but look you, the strongest, Stronger is music than death" -Franz Werfel

There is no "ultimate", if you're just talking purely about damage, then Beowulf would be the "ultimate", except it's horrifyingly slow. All the weapons do different things, that's the point.

P.S. And Nevan wuz hawt lolz.

i just said ultimates because of the "all-round" capability. Cerberus is a very much "all-rounder", doing reasonable damage, with quick speed. And of course his seemingly endless combos.
Agni and Rudra are quick, similar to Cerberus, but with high time. this was just my best combination that i found throughout the game. Beowulf is far to slow for me, although high damage is incurred.

    Except you're wrong.

Rebellion is the only "all-rounder" weapon, equal offense, defense, mobility and combos.

Agni and Rudra are quick offense but lack defense, specials have an after-pause of at least a second, which is far too long, especially Crossed Swords or Jet Stream, or the insane pause during and after Million Slash

Cerberus is quick, but lacks Air Hike, so you have far less mobility.

It's fine if it's what you prefer, but don't act like what you prefer is the only "ultimate" set of weapons, because every other is just as effective.

Nevan is strong at long-range, has some of the best crowd control moves and is by far the most defensive weapon in the game due to the stun effects of it's moves, just most people pass it by because they either can't use it or don't even try because of OMGDUELSORRDDSS!!!111

yes, im useing it as the primary weapon for ranged when I get it for my gunslinger file.

ps: I thought you ment bosses, well... Quicksilver is still a neat class but well. my faveorite weapons are.

Ebony & Ivory: I use it when I am trapped in a melee needed situation (surrounded) combined with rebbelion, I would start off with charge and the bullet rain, then air rapido, after that air dive then do the AoE strike with rebbelion, then charged shooting... its weak but useful in that sort of situation.

Shotgun: That Fireworks is a sexy move and it makes the gun shoot quicker.

Spiral: I dont know what I like about this gun... I just... love it.

Kalina Ann: <3<3 this gun is pure spammage when at full potential, brilliant weapon.

in conclusion, as you can see im not big on melee combat.

i see what your saying Lindy, and as you pointed out, Nevan is a highly Defensive weapon. I don't defend much, i find the best defence is offence in this sort of game. Yes there are occasions when you must defend, but these occasions come few and far between. In the harder modes, yes it's nearly a must, but you must still attack.
I just prefer to use quicker weapons, (i actually use Cerberus far more than A&R, they're just there for the Air Hike and flashyness.).
My guns are a different matter, i always seem to carry Ebony and Ivory (it's just not right for me not to....) and i swap between the Shotgun and Artemis.

It does attack at the same time as defending, just because it's defensive doesn't mean it can't do damage as well.

What, you think a massive area of effect lightning blast similar to Million Slash/Stab but on more than one enemy does zero damage now?

Defensive moments are NEVER few and far between, every time you're attacked by an enemy it's a defensive moment.

defence is what makes a royal guard able to execute his uber strong counter tactics.

    Exactly.

Nevan keeps you defended until you find the perfect time to unleash your fury on a target, or more often group of targets, and utterly devastate them. Keep your targets at range, then at the right time Reverb Shock and Jam Session combo the hell out of them.

That and the fact that it stun-juggles a group of targets, which no other Devil Arm can even come close to.

yeah, but if you don't use Royal Guard and use Doppel Ganger or Quicksilver, which make bosses one hell of a lot easier, then it's not much use apart from your tactics.
(yes, i do use Doppel Ganger an awful lot, along with Quicksilver. Mainly cuz i got everything else up to lvl2 and cannot be bothered waiting 99999 points for lvl 3. has anybody done that yet by the way???)
