    Default Blisters

I have a blister on my heel. I don't like it.

How do you guys treat your blisters? I make my daddy pop mine. For a long time, and this was just last year people, I was afraid to even do that, because I thought it might hurt. He did poke me too hard with his knife at one point, but my blister squirted on him so I felt revenged. Is that the right word to use there?

Andy way, do you pop them or do you let them be until they go away?

I usually don't do anything to them. But I do cry about them a lot when I have them.

moleskin surrounding the blister is the way to go. You shouldn't pop or put direct pressure on a blister.

because that way the blister will heal without becoming an open wound that is prone to infection.

Larger or painful blisters that are intact should be drained without removing the roof. First clean the blister with rubbing alcohol or antibiotic soap and water. Then heat a straight pin or safety pin over a flame until the pin glows red, and allow it to cool before puncturing a small hole at the edge of the blister.
I DON'T KNOW WHO TO BELIEVE!

Where can I get moleskin, anyways? What does it do to help? *curious*

you can get moleskin in the from drug stores and maybe shoe stores. moleskin is soft and feltlike. You cut a round piece with a hole in the middle and use it to surround the blister. It cushions and prevents direct pressure on the blister, and with moleskin a blister will slowly go down over time and disappear. although I guess if a blister is huge popping it is better.

I have one on my foot right now from work and it's making me upset.

But I'm letting it be, cause I don't want to touch it or look at it or make it bleed because it might hurt. A little.
