Actually, theoretically the Jelsoft people could use the same kind of new code that puts your new post on the same page without reloading it to check for new posts in a thread after a specified interval and insert them if they were found, so it wouldn't reload the whole page at all. But don't expect me to bother doing all that![]()

You'd still have to load a massive amount of content, especially if it's an active thread like the Ciddies, where people are constantly posting/editing. It would be very annoying, not to mention taxing on the database. F5 is about two inches away from the letters on a keyboard, so I don't see a big problem here.
I click the link back to the forum and click the link to the thread again, because I don't trust the refresh button.
