A mobile school wouldn't be cool... Back in my schooling days, I would occasionally not leave the house until 10 (much needed sleep) and then use the excuse that the trains were buggered or something. If my school had been mobile, that right to skip the morning periods disappears!
I would rather have an ass-kicking spaceship like the Ragnarok, thank you.

Well, when you first see Garden pick up and fly out of a cloud of dust, you stare, jaw gaping wide.
A flying building is beyond anything you could ever imagine up to that point.
However, another disc later, when you think you're about to die in the depths of space, cold, and alone.
There is a machina ex machina awaiting you.
Ragnarok is an amazing dragonship of the type everyone likes to find. It is still operational after years, and is relatively safe after you kill off the beasts that destroyed the former owners.
You don't have to fly it, as the people on the other end of the radio will fly it for you.
A little small home all your own in space and in the air.
Plus it's friggin' fun to pilotI would hope that if ff8 ever got remade, the abilities to go faster, do loop'de'loops and the like would be added. That was the only, the ONLY, thing missing from ragnarok.
Both were powerful time machines.
However the Garden is a primitive one enabling us to see some of its time travelling machinnery.Also,the Garden looks more unusual than the spaceship making it funnier.

Balamb garden being able to fly is good for convenience . But it is certainly no competition for the Ragnarok.

I still prefer the Airship O' Doom (hope DarkLadyNyara doesn't mind me calling it that).
Extremely hard choice but I'd have to go for the Ragnarok. Only just though.
By the time I had to pilot the Garden I had grown so sick of it.
And it took forever to get anywhere.
I spent hours trying to find certain places, it was awful.
I was so happy once I had the Ragnarok.
