Well its not really part of FFXI as much as it is part of the Playonline program.

It's fun if you liked FFIX's card system. Then you'd love it, playing agints NPC and other users. It's okay. Especially good if theres a long waiting for FFXI maintenance. But still very ... useless. And when you want the ID for the card game, you still play FFXI more.

Its sorta like Triple Triad, but most people prefer TT over TM.
I'd have to say TT is much more fun than TM.. The extra rules and things from TT makes it so much more interesting.
