My bro wants to know why so many anime shows star non japanese characters. I couldnt answer it i thought someone here could.

Me and my mum talked about this last time I visited my parents. Aparently the Japanese want to be more like European people, therefore they express it in they're biggest indistry: Animation (Anime) and Comics (Manga). This explains alot of the features used in anime. It's sort of the same as why so many european people want to get a tan. We came up with a much more indepth theory and all but I can't remember all the details......now its going to bug me for the rest of the day

There are a few anime based in other areas then Japan, this could be because they want a different location then Japan, or want to use a feature that isnt commonly found in Japan.
Generally, Europeans are more diverse in appearance than Japanese. Drawing the same basic look does get boring after awhile.
