Default I think this is a Firefox 1.5 thing

So I can't user ascii codes (or whatever they are called) for alternative characters anymore because my browser now performs various "hotkey" actions like going back a page when I press the [Alt] key and then hit numbers. I don't recall this ever happening before I upgraded Firefox to 1.5. How do I turn this crap off? If I want to go back a page, I'll click the back button.

    It happened before.

    But not consistantly.

Although when I tried just now it did.

It's a mix of a firefox and vB problem (<a href="https://bugzilla.mozilla.org/show_bug.cgi?id=257478">Bug report</a>), because vB has accesskeys shortcuts, which are triggered when using alt + stuff when they shouldn't.

    And then there is Death

ok, so it's a vB problem and not Friefox. sure enough, I tested in LJ and I can use the alt key normally.
