ok I was fartin around on this site somewhere i saw it said that there was talk about remakeing FF8 on ps2 so this must have been a rumor when ps2 came out i never heard any thing about this and want to know more! ne one got any thing or am i like everyone else on this forum and just hopeing and holding on to something that will never happen?
No, not going to happen. You must have seen the FF8 PS2 Tech Demo.
Heard of an FF7 demo but not an FF8 one.
I never heard of the FF8 one either until recently. They re-did the dance scene with Squall and Rinoa with PS2 graphics.

Anyhow, I saw some of the Tech Demo of the dance scene from FFVIII and it dosn't really look that much different from the original ps1 version. Slightly better I guess but it was kind of hard to see since the version I was watching was pretty crappy quality.

A remake won't be nescessary, the graphics were good enough, and fans who didn't love this game just hated it.
