No, it is. It is in almost any baby name book and they also made a sitcom where the main character was named Tidus(tie-dus).

You're most likely right. I just looked at tons of online baby name sites and a few baby name books laying around here, and I found no Tidus, but Titus is of course in there.

His name is pronounced tee-dus,as awkward as it is to say.

The name you're all refering to is spelled Titus with 2 t's.
The sitcom was also called Titus, after the main character Christopher Titus, who just released a 1 hour stand up-comedy special on comedy central.
    Very funny man.

I've always pronounced it "tie-dus". Even it was officially "tee-dus", I'd still go with mine. Not really trying to be stubborn, it's just that it's the way I've always said it.

Like I said before, I originally said Tie-dus as well, as it makes sense. However, when the makers of the game say it one way, then that is the correct way, that's the way it's intended to be said.

I've never heard of anyone actually named Tie-dus, and I'm pretty sure it isnt a real name at all, though I cant be sure.
Perhaps whoever the hell played Wakka in Kingdom Hearts made a mistake in his diction?

That isnt the only place it's said though. Refer back to one of Kawaii Ryukishi's post, I believe he said it was in one of the demo disks that they use Tidus as well.

Regardless of this, however, they wouldnt just sluff it off and let it slide if Wakka's voice actor said it wrong. He would have had to redo it, they dont just let voice actors mispronounce things and then put it in the game that way.

to english speaking people it sounds awkward, latin speaking people such as french, spanish, portuguese, and italian find it easy and most asian people find it easy as well.

Nasaspan, Fyggy ryc cusa geht uv ylcahd, cu ra fuimt bnuhuhla ed tevvanyhdmo.

Remember, Wakka has some kind of acsent, so he would prononce it differantly.

Not that differently, no. And, please note that it has been said in other places, including a demo by Square, and not said by Wakka.

Wakka's accent is not so strong that it distorts anyone else's name, so that isnt a good reason at all.
