Celestial Weapon Question

I'm kinda new here so please dont get angry if I stuff up >_<

Ok...I was wondering,,how do you turn the cloudy mirror into a celestial mirror? I know that you have to go talk to the mother and son at the Macalania woods, find the dad, go back and they'll say their son is missing, and you need to go up the glitter bridge to find him. Well, I've done all of that but I simply can't find the son, I've gone up and down the glitter bridge and have searched every where in Macalania.

Do I happen to need the airship or something? Or am I looking in the wrong place?

well on the glittering bridge theres a fork. go up the fork to find the son. hell be standing in front of the thing that turns the cloudy mirror into the celestial mirror. and the as they say is that
